Heavy Bag HIIT is not your average fitness kickboxing class. The class is broken into three parts: a warmup that takes you through all of the punches, kicks, and mobility exercises you need, a high intensity interval workout that challenges your strength AND conditioning, and 4 3-minute rounds on the heavy bags. This class allows you to train like a fighter without the head trauma. It is beginner-friendly (modifications are available) and also challenges more advanced practitioners.
-
Learn the core concepts of self-defense-oriented striking, wrestling, grappling, and verbal advocacy/de-escalation in this 4-week beginner’s self-defense course. Beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Adult Intermediate/Advanced Classes
-
Jiu Jitsu Intermediate builds upon the basic tenets of jiu jitsu to expand into higher-level techniques, wrestling, and competition styles. The class integrates takedowns and rolling/sparring in every class for a more pressure-tested, physical class. Jiu Jitsu Intermediate requires a coach invitation to attend.
-
BJJ Skills & Drills is our ecological approach class focused on faster skill development through positional sparring, task-based games, and live problem solving. Instead of memorizing endless techniques, you’ll develop timing, reactions, decision making, and a deeper understanding of Jiu Jitsu through guided resistance and focused training scenarios. Perfect for students who want to level up quicker and feel more confident during live rolls.
-
Takedowns for BJJ focuses on the standing side of grappling with an emphasis on practical wrestling, clinch work, trips, throws, and transitions specifically for Jiu Jitsu. Students will learn how to safely take opponents down, defend takedowns, and become more comfortable engaging on the feet. This class is beginner-friendly and perfect for anyone looking to build confidence standing instead of immediately pulling guard
-
Kickboxing Intermediate builds off the principles of Kickboxing Fundamentals to introduce more complex techniques and sparring-based drilling. Students will learn more complicated offensive and defensive strategies and apply them in light sparring. An invitation is required to sign up for Kickboxing Intermediate.
-
Challenge your precision and power simultaneously by leveraging focus mitts, Thai pads, and kick shields into your training. Students will pair up and both hold for and hit pads.
-
Pop in your mouthguard and prepare for several rounds of competitive sparring. While this class prioritizes safety, sparing is less structured than an intermediate class and allows for competition-style sparring and technique application. This class is invitation only.
-
Live Rolling is exactly what it sounds like: seven 7-minute rounds of live grappling with training partners of varying sizes, skill levels, and styles. This class gives students the opportunity to pressure test techniques, build conditioning, sharpen timing, and gain real experience through sparring. While competitive and physically demanding, the room culture prioritizes safety, learning, and helping each other improve. Suitable for students with a basic understanding of Jiu Jitsu fundamentals.
-
Self Defense 102 builds upon the concepts introduced in Self Defense 101 with more advanced scenario training, positional control, striking integration, and pressure-tested problem solving. Students will continue developing practical self defense skills through drilling, live resistance, and guided training scenarios in a beginner-friendly and trauma-informed environment.
-
Friday Night Open Mat is your chance to train, drill, roll, troubleshoot techniques, and hang out with the team in a less structured environment. Whether you want extra rounds, time to experiment with new techniques, or just a place to move and learn with good people, open mat is one of the best ways to improve your Jiu Jitsu. All affiliated gyms and experience levels are welcome
